Three thousand VoIP call cards seized at airport
Aviation Security (AVSEC) seized 3,000 VoIP phone call cards from Hazrat ShahJalal International Airport around 2:15 pm on Tuesday. A man named Hasan Ali was arrested from the boarding bridge area No. 6 of the airport in the incident.
Group Captain AHM Touhid-ul Ahsan, Executive Director of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, confirmed the information on Wednesday afternoon.
He said Hasan Ali was detained with a VoIP call card during a security check on the boarding flight of Air Arabia's 3L-008 flight. He has been handed over to customs.
He said the cost of each of these VoIP call cards is $10. The total value of the seized VoIP call card is around Taka 26 lakh.
